Judith Hudson Kihle -

Alpha Chi Omega

Judith (Judy) Hudson Kihle pledged Alpha Chi Omega in 1957 at the University of Oklahoma. She graduated in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and received a Masters in Education in 1966. She was Alpha Chi Omega house manager for three years. While at OU, she was active in the Wesley Foundation, Kappa Phi, Eta Epsilon and the Association of Women Students. Upon graduation, Judy taught first grade in Ponca City and special education in Tulsa.


As president of both the Ponca City and Tulsa Alpha Chi alumnae groups, she also was active in Panhellenic in both cities.

Since moving to Tulsa, Judy has been a volunteer with schools and organizations. She has served on Parent-Teacher Association boards at Monte Cassino, Casica Hall, Bishop Kelly, Patrick Henry and Edison. She has served as board president of Children’s Day Nursery, Volunteer Council, Assistance League of Tulsa and chairman of the Designer Showcase. She was involved in the National Assistance League’s board as a member of the philanthropic projects committee and philanthropic projects reviewer for 10 years. She received the JC Penny and The Joe Willard Agency (Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company) award for outstanding Volunteer Service to the people of the Tulsa Community.

Judy is marred to attorney Donald A. Kihle and has four children – son Kevin, daughter-in-law Lara and grandson Alex reside in Tulsa; daughter Kirsten in Houston, Texas; daughter Kathryn in Austin, Texas, and son Kurte in Tulsa.

Alpha Chi Omega has been an important part of Judy’s life. She has made many wonderful friends, who she still keeps in touch with. Judy says Alpha Chi taught her how important volunteering can be in one’s life. Judy said volunteering has enriched her life and given many great opportunities to help others.
